About Lemon Jelly Press
At Lemon Jelly Press, we believe creativity flourishes best in spaces that feel welcoming, inclusive, and kind. Our approach goes beyond traditional publishing to focus on people, confidence, and connection. We see writing not just as a skill, but as a powerful tool for expression, healing, and self-discovery.
Much of our work is rooted in improving literacy and creative confidence on the Isle of Wight. We design projects that meet people where they are, particularly those who may have felt excluded from creative or educational spaces in the past. This includes children and adults who face barriers such as disability, neurodivergence, poverty, trauma, or a lack of access to traditional publishing pathways.
Whether through publishing, workshops, or community programmes, we prioritise joy, accessibility, and encouragement. Our creative spaces are intentionally pressure-free and playful, allowing participants to explore words at their own pace and on their own terms. We value process as much as outcome, and confidence as much as craft.
Lemon Jelly Press exists to support people in reclaiming their voices and sharing their stories with wider audiences. We believe that telling your story can be an act of resilience and hope, and that when more voices are heard, our communities become richer, more connected, and more compassionate.
