Hi, I’m Lottie, and I created Lemon Jelly Press to promote marginalised voices and celebrate the power of storytelling to connect, uplift, and transform.
Lemon Jelly Press is a Community Interest Company (CIC) with a mission to amplify voices that often go unheard. We believe in bringing humanity to the page and creating space for stories that offer fresh perspectives, strange and beautiful ideas, and meaningful truths.
This press grew from my own experiences—growing up with multiple barriers and later working as a children’s librarian, where I saw the quiet magic that happens when people are given the space to tell their stories. I'm especially committed to supporting writers who have faced obstacles such as poverty, disability, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), or exclusion from traditional publishing spaces.
This is a place for people who’ve been told they don’t belong in the literary world. You do belong—and we’re here to help you share your story.
At Lemon Jelly Press, we offer more than just publishing—we create welcoming, inclusive spaces where creativity can thrive. Our work is rooted in the belief that stories can heal, connect, and empower. That’s why we’re committed to supporting writers from all walks of life, especially those who’ve faced barriers to being heard.
We publish work that is bold, beautiful, and deeply human—writing that challenges assumptions, sparks imagination, and helps us see the world through new eyes. Alongside publishing, we run creative workshops and community programmes designed to nurture confidence, curiosity, and joy. These spaces are pressure-free and playful, encouraging people to rediscover the magic of writing in a way that feels safe and supportive..
Lemon Jelly Press is here to remind people that their words matter—and that telling your story can be a powerful act of resilience, creativity, and hope.
