Our Mission

At Lemon Jelly Press, storytelling is at the heart of everything we do. We are a Community Interest Company dedicated to improving literacy levels on the Isle of Wight, creating joyful, confidence-building creative projects, and supporting people to share their words with the world.

Our mission is to amplify voices that are often unheard and to bring humanity, care, and honesty to the page. We publish work that offers fresh perspectives, thoughtful ideas, and stories that foster understanding and connection. We place particular emphasis on supporting writers who have faced barriers to creativity, including Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), poverty, disability, neurodivergence, or exclusion from traditional publishing spaces.

Alongside publishing, we design and deliver creative workshops, community programmes, and inclusive writing spaces for children, young people, and adults. These projects are rooted in joy, accessibility, and encouragement, helping participants build confidence in their voices and rediscover the pleasure of reading and writing.

Everything we do is driven by a belief that words matter, stories belong to everyone, and creativity should be open, welcoming, and transformative.
